Upholstery Yardage Chart

The following upholstery yardage chart is provided to give you an estimate of how many yards you’ll need to reupholster your furniture piece. If you’re working with an upholsterer, we suggest you contact him/her for their recommended amount. The following chart is based on using a 54” wide solid fabric. Allow 10-15% for matching pattern repeats. Allow extra for arm covers (1 yard for 2 arm covers), and self-lined skirts. Almost the worst feeling in the world is to be short of fabric for your project, so you may want to get an extra yard or two “just in case”. You never know if you’ll need it for repairs. And, you can always use the extra for pillows!
